Good day, I had to reimage my laptop Dell Latitude 3540 which was bought recently, with Windows 7 64bit enterprise and although I was able to install all the drivers successfully, I have a yellow exclamation mark on my device manager next to Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller. Default Behavior
The Microsoft USB Universal Host Controller Miniport Driver service is a kernel mode driver. If Microsoft USB Universal Host Controller Miniport Driver fails to start, the error is logged. Windows 10 startup proceeds, but a message box is displayed informing you that the usbuhci service has failed to start.

1.Click 'Start | Control Panel | System and Security | System.' Review the information next to System Type to see if the OS is 32-bit or 64-bit.

2.Install and run an application like CPU-Z or Belarc Advisor (see Resources below) to find the system details. Select the 'Motherboard' tab or check under System Model to find the make and model of the motherboard.

5.Download the latest version of the driver for the controller(s) from the website. Double-click the download to launch the installer.
6.Follow the steps in the wizard to complete the installation of the USB drivers. Restart the computer.

Tip
- If you purchased your computer from a PC manufacturer, click 'Start | All Programs | Accessories | Command Prompt' and then type 'wmic csproduct get name,identifyingnumber,uuid' (minus the quotes) into the terminal. Press 'Enter' to find the make and model of the PC.
