My dota 2 is downloading all the network usage but except disk usage,it's still stucked at 0 bytes, any ideas on how to keep this moving cause I can't play dota unless it downloads. - Hey all, Been having this issue for the last 7-8 months, where almost any time I download anything off steam, my disk usage will immediately hit 100%. Forums Search. Search titles only. (2013 version) with a mechanical drive, and it gives zero issues, along with disk usage remaining below 40% for the duration of the download.
- Steam reserves (allocates) the space required for the download in order to optimize disk usage by trying to minimize disk/file fragmentation and of course it checks.
- Clear Download Cache. Clearing the Steam download cache will cause the Steam client to flush locally cached configuration data and acquire it from the Steam servers again. Navigate to your Steam -> Settings -> Downloads -> Clear Download Cache. Repair Library Folder. The Steam library folder contains all of your installed games on disk.

Try right clicking the game in your library and hitting properties. Then go to the Local Files tab and check the disk usage. You likely do have data downloaded and there is probably an update required.
I would assume there is some sort of data corruption going on here which unfortunately make the data you downloaded useless to you.
