PopCap retired many of their games over the years. Since publisher Electronic Arts acquired the company in 2011, almost every attempt to play an old PopCap Games title redirects you to EA's official website. But, if you haven't experienced the joy of a PopCap game, there are a few ways you can test some out for free.

Zombies are coming and you have only a garden of sentient plants to fight them off. Plants vs. Zombies might be PopCap's most addictive game, combining solid strategy mechanics with an amusing art style and premise.
The original Plants vs. Zombies is free to play on Android and iOS. There are over 25 zombies to battle in over 50 levels of Adventure mode.
Plants vs. Zombies 2 has over 300 levels, some are very challenging. The game is also available for free at the App Store and Google Play. Both games offer in-app purchases for coin packs used to buy in-game items.
Then there's Plants vs. Zombies: Heroes on iOS and Android, where you can collect heroes like Green Shadow, Super Brainz, Grass Knuckles, and Impfinity. Like the other games, it has microtransactions as well.

The classic Peggle game is only free on Origin for Access members.
Imagine pachinko mixed with an arcade game set in a magical land of unicorns and you have Peggle. PopCap retired Peggle Classic on iOS in 2017. A PC version is still available via Origin, but it's free to Origin Access members only. For everyone else, it costs $2.49.
There's a free version of Peggle Blast on iOS and Android. You can also download a free trial of Peggle Deluxe through Pogo. The game is free for one hour. After that, you can choose to buy it if you like. Pogo also has a trial of Peggle Nights.
Electronic Arts published a sequel, Peggle 2, in 2013, but it's not free to play. It's available to buy on Xbox and PS4. It's also available via EA's Access game subscription service.

Solitaire Blitz is another game PopCap retired in 2017, but it's still 100% playable if you know where to look.
The easiest way to play it is through the Facebook app. If you have Windows 8, you can also play through Pokki, which is a Start menu replacement program. Once it's installed, use its built-in app store to download the game.
Solitaire Blitz is a great way to have fun in a short amount of time. You can also see Facebook friends who play and what their scores are.

If you like word games, play Bookworm. It tasks you with forming as many words as you can from a collection of letter tiles. Drag your finger or mouse cursor through the tiles to make words from the scrambled letters. Using green tiles scores you more points. Burning tiles need to be removed before they reach the bottom of the board.

Insaniquarium Deluxe

Insaniquarium Deluxe is a puzzle game featuring a tank of guppies that you have to feed with the money the fish drop. The money droppings are also used to buy upgrades, more creatures, and predators to help protect the tank from intruders.
